The PADI Open Water Diver program includes three parts: academic, confined water and open water dives. In the academic portion, you will learn the basic principles of scuba diving, including dive safety, dive planning and dive equipment. In the confined water portion, you will learn basic scuba skills in a pool or shallow water. Finally, in the open water portion, you will put your skills to the test in the open water.

After completing the PADI Open Water Diver program, you will be certified to dive to a depth of 60 feet (18 meters). You will also be able to rent dive equipment and dive with a buddy without the supervision of a dive instructor.

PADI Open Water Diver (Bali) Essentials

The PADI Open Water Diver course is made up of three main components:

1. Classroom learning: You’ll spend some time in the classroom learning the basic theory behind scuba diving, including safety procedures and diving physics.

2. Pool sessions: You’ll then put your new knowledge into practice in our swimming pool, learning basic scuba skills like clearing water from your mask and regulator (your breathing apparatus).

3. Open water dives: The final step is to show us that you can put your skills into practice in the open water, by completing four dives in the sea. Once you’ve completed the course, you’ll be a certified PADI Open Water Diver, able to dive anywhere in the world!
