And no, I’m not spouting nonsense nor am I saying it without consideration that’s why I’ll give you some reasons to pick up your bag and ride the plane to start your exploration.

Diving in Bali is a Wonderland Adventure on its own

Just like how Alice of Alice in Wonderland ventures the unknown place, she met a lot of people that made her adventure quite an exciting one. It’s the same as how you’ll meet deep-sea creatures on your underwater adventure worthwhile.

Creatures like the Clown Frogfish, Sheep Nudibranch, and Harlequin Shrimps are seen under the sea of Bali, mostly seen in North Bali dive sites. While the Mighty Mola Mola, can be found in a small island east of Bali, Nusa Penida. Peculiar they may seem, still, it makes finding them truly adventurous. After all, they’re not that easy to find.

Not only the creatures under the sea give you the feeling of wonderland, but also the mesmerizing coral reefs that surround the island. Believe me, it is a sight to behold.  And as I had stated earlier, Bali is in between two known oceans – the Indian and the Pacific – and with that fact, the growth of corals becomes ideal.

The coral reefs in Bali are uncountable as fishes inhabit and reproduce there. The colors of the corals are also enchanting like a painting that makes the sea lovelier. The underwater scenery is just breathtaking and it is one of the most value-for-money dive destinations in the world.

Immerse yourself into Bali’s Ancient Stories

Bali’s magnificence doesn’t stop with just the corals and deep-sea creatures but it also offers knowledge, facts, and history – may it be ships from Japan or from the USA. Remnants of the wrecks are even evident as you dive at these particular sites. Some wrecks could even be reached by snorkelers as long as the water current is calm or else it might be dangerous.

One of the well-known wrecks in Bali is the USAT Liberty Glo, also known as the USS Liberty Wreck, located in Tulamben. The vessel was used back when World War II happened. Divers can see this magnificent courier that the United States has used in a global revolution, while they let themselves gain knowledge from the events that had transpired before the vessel had submerged itself.

Another wreck is the Japanese Wreck in Amed located in the northeast of Bali. It is not very well known but it’s surely worth a shot to look at. Maybe then, you’ll discover the story behind the wreckage.

Bali is a Thrill Seeker’s Heaven

“Where’s the fun without a little thrill?” is often said by those who seek the thrill of things. And I couldn’t agree more – which is why Bali has destinations to satisfy those thrill-lovers. Adventure, excitement, and fun are all put into one as divers jump to the oceans to start their escapade.

Swimming with predators seems enthralling. Here in Bali, you are allowed to experience it. Divers can swim together with five to six members of Manta Rays as they dance through the sea with grace and poise like a ballerina. If you love more thrills, you could dive your way deeper until you reach the home of the sea predators like sharks. Sounds thrilling enough, but no, it doesn’t end there.  An underwater temple still awaits the adventurous divers.

Divers are free to explore the underwater temple garden in Bali where abandoned statues of Buddha, Krishna, and Ganesh create an eerie atmosphere in the place.  The locals in Bali will tell you various stories and urban legends about the place, but some say the temple is created merely for marine preservation.
